Pr. Nick FoxNick Fox’s first degree was in Physics and Physiology; he subsequently graduated in Medicine and specialised in cognitive neurology. He is an honorary consultant neurologist at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery; London, Professor of Clinical Neurology at UCL Institute of Neurology; MRC Senior Clinical Fellow and an NIHR Senior Investigator.  His research has focussed early diagnosis in the neurodegenerative dementias and biomarkers for trials of potential disease-modifying therapies in AD and related disorders. A particular interest has been the use of imaging (particularly MRI) in dementia. He has developed techniques for registration-based atrophy measurements that are now widely used in clinical trials. In addition he has a longstanding interest in longitudinal clinical and imaging studies of familial dementias. He has been an advisor to the FDA, NIH and EMEA.   He is Co-Chair of the Research Advisory Council of the Alzheimer’s Society (UK) and on the Scientific Advisory Board of the Alzheimer’s Research Trust.
